Whimsy Hill Commons

A Sneak Peek into the Welcome to Whimsy Community

There are places that exist not only on a map, but also in the imagination — places shaped by care, curiosity, and courage to engage the world as our authentic selves.

Whimsy Hill Commons is one of those places.

On February 1st, during our Feast of St. Brigid gathering at Old Soul Sanctuary, we will begin to introduce a new digital extension of our shared values and creative life: Welcome to Whimsy — a small, intentional membership community designed to grow slowly, thoughtfully, and in relationship with those who help bring it to life.

This article is an early glimpse inside.

What Is Welcome to Whimsy ?

Welcome to Whimsy is a commons in the old meaning of the word — a shared space, stewarded collectively, where stories, practices, conversations, and companions are nurtured over time.

Rooted in the spirit of Old Soul Sanctuary, Welcome to Whimsy will offer members access to a growing library of original video and audio content, alongside opportunities to engage, respond, and help shape what comes next.

A Hint of What’s Taking Shape

When Welcome to Whimsy opens its doors, members will begin to encounter a small but meaningful slate of offerings, including:

  • Thoughtful podcast conversations exploring what it means to live sane, sober, and awake in a noisy world

  • Stories of courage and conscience, examining what it takes to act boldly without losing one’s center

  • Animal fan clubs, where specific sanctuary animals become storytellers in their own right — inviting care, attention, and affection across species

  • Puppet shows, playful on the surface and quietly profound underneath, created for adults as much as for children

Rather than releasing everything at once, these offerings will arrive in seasons — allowing space for reflection, response, and refinement.

Why Start Small?

In laying a foundation, Welcome to Whimsy is being designed with limits — intentionally.

For the first few months, we are capping membership to 100, allowing those who join early to experience the Commons not as an audience, but as participants. Their questions, reflections, and feedback will help guide which stories deepen, which formats evolve, and which new paths open next.

These early members will be pioneers, helping test rhythms, workflows, and creative directions while the Commons is still close to the ground.

A Companion to the Sanctuary

Whimsy Hill Commons serves as a bridge — a way to stay connected between seasons, across distances, and through the everyday moments that make up a life.

For some, it may become a weekly touchstone.

For others, a quiet library to return to when needed.

An Introduction, Not a Finish Line

On February 1st, we are not unveiling a finished product.

We are offering an invitation.

An invitation to help shape a living commons.

An invitation to tend imagination alongside care for land and creatures.

An invitation to see what becomes possible when whimsy is taken seriously.

More details will be shared at the Feast of St. Brigid gathering and in the weeks that follow. For now, we simply wanted to open the gate a crack — and let you know that something thoughtful, playful, and quietly bold is on its way.

We look forward to welcoming you.
